My whole life has been defined by a love of telling stories.

I attempted to write my first book, a story about the career of a fictional baseball player, while in middle school before a high school foray with writing a war epic. While in high school, I was recruited to work on a number of baseball blogs which cemented my desire to pursue writing as a serious career. I entered college with an eagerness to be a sports writer and author of fiction.

Then came the 2016 Presidential Election and the political turmoil which ensued thereafter. There was no escaping the national conversation and suddenly sports didn't seem nearly as important anymore. I felt a sense of responsibility, that as someone who had the ability to write and engaged audiences I had an obligation to talk about something meaningful, something important. While I always possessed a deep love and fascination for history, during this time I developed a serious passion for politics as well, and suddenly my calling seemed clear. This is a website dedicated to all those passions, not just where I am now, but where I'm going and where I've been.
